About our courses

Our courses can help you learn practical ways of managing your problems alongside others who are struggling with the same kind of issue.

The courses are a bit like an evening class. A facilitator will explain ideas and techniques and open up discussions. The courses are very informal and we aim to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We usually have a maximum of 12 people in a group.

Courses are not group therapy. While we welcome participation, you don’t have to share deep secrets or even say anything at all if you don’t want to.

The basis for most of our courses is cognitive behavioural therapy, or CBT. We’ll focus on how you think so you can change the way you feel and act. All of this will be explained at the first session.

Courses consist of between six weekly sessions, generally lasting between one and 1.5 hours. They are held weekdays or evenings, and occasionally on Saturday mornings.
